A romantic dinner prepared and served to just the two of you in the privacy of your own home by a personal chef. No impersonal restaurant service, no clean-up. Just the two of you, a wonderful evening, and a spectacular meal.

CARLO COOKS BOOKS℠

Learn how to cook the foods you love to eat in a relaxing, in-home environment. We begin by creating a customized lesson plan and menu from a curated library of my favorite cookbooks. Students will be sent a detailed grocery list prior to class so they will have the necessary groceries on hand. Lessons are approximately 2½-3 hours and are centered around the preparation of a complete meal: First Course, Entree, and Dessert.

While growing up in northern California as a child of Italian and Mexican parents, I developed a passion for cooking at a very young age. As I grew older, my passion developed as I sought to keep my families culinary traditions alive by taking numerous culinary courses in San Francisco and Napa Valley.

My training continued when I moved to New York in 1994 and found the numerous culinary opportunites at my fingertips. I began taking instruction at La Bonne Cocotte in both New York and Nyons, France, Peter Kump’s New York Cooking School, Anna Teresa Callen Italian Cooking School, and the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY.

As someone who is obsessed with entertaining friends and clients, and at the behest of many over the years, I decided to add the position of Private Chef to my lifestyle services. My formal training is primarily french-provincial and italian rustic. I enjoy introducing clients to the freshest in-season organic dishes, designed to awaken the pallete, please the eye, and warm the soul.

Over the course of my career, I’ve had the pleasure of cooking for numerous clients throughout the New York mertopolitan area, including Alec Baldwin, Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, Eartha Kitt, Bill Pullman, and Dr. Ruth Westheimer.

 

 

TERMS OF SERVICE

 

Payment in full is due at the conclusion of any service. Accepted forms of payment: cash, personal and business checks, or, with a 4% service fee, American Express, Visa, and MasterCard. Gratuity is not included and greatly appreciated.
A deposit equal to 50% of the expected total bill is required upon booking any Half or Full-Day Beauty Service, Wedding Service, or Table Service. Once your retainer is received, your appointment is reserved. The remaining 50% is due at the time of service. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
If for any reason, you wish to cancel or reschedule your booking, notify me immediately in writing by email. Please be aware that any service requiring a deposit is non-refundable. To ensure a consistently high level of client service, a 24 hour cancellation policy applies to every booking. If a client cancels within 24 hours of their booking or if the client is a “no show” for their service, the full price of that service will be due, and a credit card must be provided to hold future appointments.
In the unlikely event that I am unable to perform scheduled services due to illness or other circumstances beyond my control, every attempt will be made to arrange for a substitute to fulfill the service. However, I cannot guarantee that one can be found. In this case, your payment and/or deposit will be refunded in full.
It is solely your responsibility to note any allergies or sensitivities you may have in writing by email at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. If not notified, Carlo Geraci, Carlo Says, and any sub-contractors are not to be held responsible if any reaction were to occur.
Returned checks will incur a charge equal to the maximum amount allowed in the state where the service occurred.
